POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —A teen driver in Pocatello on Sunday evening was the cause of a six-vehicle crash on Interstate 15, according to police.

Idaho State Police said the juvenile driver was trying to merge onto the interstate from an on-ramp in a Toyota Camry. They drove off the shoulder, overcorrected, and hit a semi-truck.

The collision caused a chain reaction involving four other vehicles including a Ram 1500, Ford Edge, Nissan Rogue, and Toyota 4 Runner. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing seatbelts.

The teenager was the only one taken to a local hospital.
